Marketplace Seller Terms

Last updated: 2026-06-05

These Seller Terms apply when you list a digital book or general item on the Larnnit Marketplace. They supplement the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Refund & Cancellation Policy. By listing, you accept them.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of contractual majority where you live, if higher).
  • You must have legal capacity to sell what you list, and the right to make and accept payment in your country.
  • Sellers from countries subject to comprehensive UN, EU, UK, or US sanctions cannot use the marketplace.

2. What you can list

  • Digital books — textbooks, study guides, lecture notes, theses, original academic writing. You must own the copyright or have written authorisation from the rights-holder. Scans of commercially-published textbooks without a licence are infringement and will be removed; repeat offenders are terminated.
  • General items — physical goods of academic or student relevance: electronics, furniture, clothing, school supplies, stationery, vehicles, services.
  • Prohibited goods— weapons, regulated drugs, alcohol & tobacco, live animals, hazardous materials, human remains, adult content, financial instruments, recalled products, counterfeits, anything illegal at the buyer's or seller's location. See the Acceptable Use Policyfor the full list.

3. Listing accuracy

  • Title, description, photos, condition, location, and price must match what you'll deliver.
  • Disclose every defect a reasonable buyer would want to know.
  • Use your own photos or photos you have the right to use. Stock photos are allowed where they represent the actual product, with that disclosed.
  • Don't use SEO-stuffing, misleading category placement, or invisible text.

4. Pricing & fees

  • You set the listing price.
  • Larnnit's commission on completed digital-book sales is 15%. The remaining 85% (after payment-processor fees) is credited to your payout balance.
  • General-listing sales settled off-platform have no commission today; if Larnnit introduces facilitated payments for general items, fees will be disclosed before you opt in.
  • Listings on a national scheme such as a sale event may have an additional promotional fee disclosed at the time.

5. Taxes

  • You are responsible for declaring and paying income tax, VAT/GST, sales tax, or other taxes that apply to your sales.
  • Where the law requires Larnnit to withhold tax or to report your earnings (e.g. DAC7 in the EU; 1099-K in the US for qualifying sellers), we will do so and tell you what we've reported.
  • Provide accurate tax information when asked. False or missing tax information may delay payouts.

6. Payouts

  • Sellers must complete identity verification (KYC) before the first payout. We use the information solely for compliance.
  • Payouts are made to a verified bank account or mobile-money wallet you register. We don't pay out to third parties.
  • Minimum payout threshold and schedule are shown in Settings → Wallet.
  • Larnnit may hold, delay, or claw back payouts where there is a dispute, suspected fraud, chargeback, refund, or breach of these Terms. We tell you why and how to respond.

7. Buyer protection

  • Buyers may request a refund as described in the Refund Policy. Approved refunds reverse the corresponding seller credit.
  • If you mark an item as sold or your file is found to be infringing, the listing is removed and any pending payout for that sale is frozen pending review.

8. Communications with buyers

  • Use Larnnit's in-app chat for transaction-related messages. We may review chats if a dispute arises.
  • Don't pressure buyers off-platform to evade fees or buyer protection.
  • Spam, harassment, or up-selling unrelated services through the marketplace will get your account suspended.

9. Intellectual property warranty

By listing, you represent that you own, or are authorised to sell, every item or digital file you list, and that the sale does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity right, or other right. You indemnify Larnnit against any claim arising from a breach of this warranty.

10. Suspension & termination

  • We may remove any listing or suspend any seller at any time for breach of these Terms or to comply with the law.
  • You can close your seller account at any time. Pending payouts remain payable subject to the dispute and refund windows.
  • Sellers with repeat policy breaches lose access to the marketplace permanently.

11. Liability

Larnnit is a marketplace operator. We do not warrant the quality, safety, or accuracy of any listing, and our liability to buyers and sellers is limited as described in the Terms of Service.

12. Changes

We may change these Seller Terms. Material changes affecting fees, payouts, or prohibited goods are announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
