Community Guidelines

Last updated: 2026-06-05

Larnnit is an all-in-one social learning and community platform for connecting, learning, building communities, discovering opportunities and housing, buying and selling, and events. These guidelines are the spirit of how we expect people to behave here. The Acceptable Use Policyis the letter that gets you suspended. Aim for the spirit; you'll never bump into the letter.

1. Be useful

Let your posts be informative and aim towards the betterment of society.

2. Be kind

The platform covers users from diverse backgrounds and regions. Ensure all interactions that you make in the platform is portrayed in kindness.

3. Disagree on the idea, not the person

Larnnit hosts users from cultures, religions, and political backgrounds that disagree on fundamentals. That's fine. Argue the position; don't attack the person. “Your sources are weak” is OK. “You're an idiot” is not.

4. Respect the marketplace

If you are selling, sell what you described. If you are buying, leave a fair review. If you give up on a listing, mark it sold or take it down. Bait-and-switch and fake-review schemes are reported and acted on.

5. Tutors: hold your standards

Show up. Prepare. Don't take on more than you can deliver. If you have to cancel, give as much notice as you can and refund where the policy requires. Block-booked students remember the tutor who took responsibility for a bad week.

6. Universities: be transparent

University-OS admins moderate their own communities. Tell your students what you moderate and why. We will back reasonable moderation; we will not enable censorship of student criticism that breaks no platform rule.

7. When you spot a problem

Report it — the in-app Report button, or safety@larnnit.com. Don't pile on. Don't screenshot-and-shame minors. Don't take direct action against another user; that's our job.

8. When we get it wrong

We sometimes will. Appeal at appeals@larnnit.com with calm details, and we'll re-examine. Disagree better, get further.
