Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Larnnit uses on its websites (larnnit.com, app.larnnit.com), and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise you on return visits. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, pixel tags, SDKs in our mobile apps — work the same way and are covered by this policy.

2. The categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the platform to work. Cannot be switched off in our systems because without them the service breaks (you can't stay logged in, your form submissions get lost, payment flows fail). These do not require your consent under EU/UK law.

  • larnnit_session — keeps you signed in across pages.
  • larnnit_token, larnnit_refresh — short and long-lived auth tokens (stored in localStorage on web, AsyncStorage on mobile).
  • larnnit_e2e_* — end-to-end encryption key material for chat.
  • CSRF protection tokens issued per session.

Preferences

Remember the choices you made: theme, language, last-used tab, data-saver mode.

  • larnnit_prefs — UI preferences blob.
  • larnnit_locale — your interface language.

Analytics & product

Help us understand which features are used, where users drop off, and what to improve. We use first-party telemetry plus error tracking via Sentry. Where required (EEA, UK, Switzerland, California for sensitive categories), we ask for consent before setting these.

Marketing

Larnnit does not currently run third-party advertising trackers. We will update this section if that changes, and ask for consent first where the law requires it.

3. Your choices

  • In-app consent banner. EU/UK/Swiss visitors see a consent banner on first visit and can change choices any time at Manage cookies.
  • Browser controls. Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies. Doing so may break parts of Larnnit.
  • Mobile.Reset or limit ad-tracker identifiers in your device settings. Larnnit doesn't use them today, but the controls are there.
  • Do Not Track. Larnnit honours Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of any non-essential tracking.

4. Manage your cookies

Open Settings → Privacy → Cookie preferences while signed in to update your choices. Or write to privacy@larnnit.com.

5. Changes

We update this policy as we add or remove tools. The last-updated date at the top reflects the most recent change.
