Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Larnnit account at any time. This page exists to satisfy Google Play and Apple App Store policies requiring a discoverable, web-based deletion path.

How to delete

In the mobile app

  1. Open Larnnit and sign in.
  2. Tap your profile → Settings.
  3. Scroll to Account → Delete account.
  4. Confirm with your password.

On the web

  1. Sign in at app.larnnit.com.
  2. Open Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your password.

By email (fallback)

If you can't access your account, email privacy@larnnit.com from the address on file. Include your username so we can verify ownership. We respond within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile (name, photo, bio, university affiliation, badges).
  • Posts, reels, comments, and likes you created.
  • Direct messages you sent (recipients keep their copies; we anonymise your handle in their view).
  • Marketplace listings and tutor profiles.
  • Push notification tokens and session tokens.
  • Uploaded media (images, videos, documents).

What we keep, and why

  • Payment records — transaction IDs, amounts, and dates are retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations. Card and bank details are never stored by Larnnit (they live with our payment processors).
  • Moderation records — if your account was actioned for policy violations, a minimal audit record (account ID, reason, date) is retained to prevent ban evasion.
  • Backups — your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before normal rotation removes it. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts.

Timeline

  • Immediate — you are signed out of all devices; your profile disappears from search and feeds.
  • Within 30 days — content and personal data are erased or de-identified from our primary systems.
  • Within 90 days — your data ages out of routine backups.

Can I get my data first?

Yes — request a data export in Settings → Privacy → Export my data before deleting, or email privacy@larnnit.com. We provide a downloadable JSON bundle within 30 days.

This is irreversible

Once deletion completes, we cannot restore your account, posts, or purchase history. If you sign up again later it will be a brand-new account.
