Acceptable Use Policy

This policy lists what you may not do on Larnnit. It applies to every part of the platform — feed, reels, chat, communities, forums, marketplace, tutor classes, audio rooms, AI revision — and to every channel you reach us through. Breaking it may lead to content removal, account suspension, loss of payouts, or referral to law enforcement. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

1. Illegal conduct

Any activity that breaks the law where you live or where the conduct has effect.
Trafficking weapons, drugs, regulated substances, stolen goods, or counterfeit items.
Money laundering, terrorism financing, or evading sanctions imposed by the UN, EU, UK, US, or Kenya.
Tax evasion or undeclared commercial activity that the law requires you to register.

2. Harm to people

Threats of violence; promotion or glorification of violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
Targeted harassment, stalking, doxxing, or repeated unwanted contact.
Hate speech that attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or serious illness.
Bullying, including coordinated pile-ons, name-calling, or shaming campaigns.
Encouraging or instructing self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide. (We surface crisis resources when our systems detect this content.)

3. Child safety

Any sexual content involving minors. We report confirmed content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent national hotlines.
Grooming, sexualised contact with anyone under 18, or solicitation of underage users.
Sharing of minors' personal information (school, schedule, address, photo) without parental consent.

4. Sexual content

Non-consensual intimate imagery (revenge porn). We remove on report and may pursue law-enforcement referral.
Sexually explicit content outside contexts permitted in age-restricted communities (currently: none — Larnnit is an academic platform).

5. Fraud and deception

Impersonating another person, university, business, or Larnnit staff. Parody is allowed if clearly labelled.
Phishing, scams, fake giveaways, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, signal-selling, get-rich-quick schemes.
Fake reviews, manipulated ratings, paid endorsements not disclosed, vote manipulation.
Buying, selling, or trading accounts; coordinated inauthentic behaviour; sockpuppeting.

6. Academic integrity

Selling completed assignments, exams, theses, or take-home work that you know will be submitted for academic credit.
Ghost-writing graded work, sitting exams on someone else's behalf, or arranging the same.
Sharing leaked exam papers or marking schemes obtained without authorisation.
Mis-using the AI Revision tool to mass-generate text for graded submission where prohibited by the educational institution.

Larnnit fully supports tutoring, study notes, past-paper discussion, peer review, and AI as a study aid. The line is whether what's produced is then submitted as the student's own original work in violation of an institution's rules.

7. Privacy

Posting another person's private information without consent (address, phone, ID, financial records, medical records, sealed legal documents, intimate photos).
Recording or sharing private audio/video conversations without consent where the law requires it (most jurisdictions require at least one-party consent; the EU is stricter).
Scraping the platform, including via headless browsers or undocumented APIs, without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

Uploading content you don't have the rights to. See our Copyright & DMCA policy for how to report infringement.
Selling pirated textbooks, software, or media on the marketplace.
Removing or altering watermarks, attribution, or copyright notices on others' content.

9. Platform integrity

Attacks on our infrastructure: DDoS, brute force, vulnerability exploitation beyond responsible disclosure.
Bypassing rate limits, age gates, payment systems, moderation, or platform fees.
Running bots, automation, or third-party clients that interact with Larnnit's APIs without our written consent. (Security research conducted under our responsible-disclosure terms is welcome at security@larnnit.com.)
Reverse-engineering or decompiling the apps except where the law expressly permits.

10. Spam and unsolicited contact

Mass DMs, follow spam, comment spam, copy-paste promotional content, off-topic links.
Unsolicited recruitment, sales, or political campaign messaging.
Using Larnnit's notifications, chat, or community tools to drive traffic to off-platform services without prior moderator approval.

11. Marketplace-specific

Listing prohibited goods: weapons, regulated drugs, alcohol & tobacco, live animals, hazardous materials, human remains, adult content, financial instruments, recalled products.
Bait-and-switch listings, misleading photos, undisclosed defects.
Off-platform settlement that bypasses Larnnit's payment system to evade fees or buyer protection. (You may use Larnnit's chat to arrange in-person handover for general listings; Larnnit still records that the listing existed.)

12. Enforcement

How we respond depends on severity and history:

Education — first-time minor breaches usually get a content removal with explanation.
Warnings & strikes — repeated or moderate breaches accumulate strikes that affect what you can post.
Feature suspension — temporary loss of comments, DMs, livestream, marketplace listing, or tutor classes.
Account suspension or termination — for severe or repeated breaches.
Permanent ban & reporting — for child safety violations, terrorism content, fraud against other users, or attacks on the platform. Where required by law, we report to authorities.

13. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, appeal at appeals@larnnit.com within 30 days. We aim to respond within 7 working days. EU users may also refer disputes to an out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act.

14. Reporting
